Do the Best Work of Your Career

Gleyon is a remote-first engineering company. We hire senior-minded people, hand them real ownership, and get out of the way — async by default, demos every Friday, and a no-crunch policy we actually enforce. If you want your work to ship and stay alive, you'll like it here.

// Why Work Here

What You Get Beyond the Paycheck

No ping-pong-table promises. These are the six things our team says actually matter.

Remote-First

Work from anywhere. We hire for outcomes, not office hours — the whole company runs async across time zones.

Learning Budget

An annual stipend for courses, books, and conferences — plus dedicated learning time that nobody guilt-trips you for using.

Real Ownership

You own features end to end — architecture, code, deploy, and the dashboard that proves it works in production.

Modern Stack

React, Node, Go, Flutter, Kubernetes, and our own edge infrastructure. No decade-old legacy swamps to drain.

Health Cover

Comprehensive health insurance for you and your family, from day one — not after a probation cliff.

Annual Retreat

Once a year the whole company meets in person for a week — part planning, part celebration, fully paid.

// How We Work

Async by Default, Together by Design

Most of our communication is written and asynchronous — decisions live in documents, not meeting memories. Every Friday the whole team demos working software, and our no-crunch policy means launches are planned so nobody's weekend gets sacrificed to a deadline.

  • Async-first: written decisions, few meetings, deep-work blocks protected
  • Weekly demos every Friday — working software, not status decks
  • No-crunch policy: sustainable pace is a rule, not a poster

// Hiring Process

Four Steps, About Two Weeks

No eight-round gauntlets, no whiteboard hazing, no ghosting. You hear back at every stage — including a real reason if it's a no.

01

Apply

Email your CV or portfolio. A human reads every application, and you get a response within five business days — yes or no.

02

Intro Call

A 30-minute conversation with the hiring manager about the role, your experience, and whether we're a fit for each other.

03

Practical Exercise

A small, paid exercise close to real work — done on your schedule, capped at a few hours. We pay for your time because it's worth something.

04

Offer

A written offer with salary, benefits, and start date spelled out. The whole process takes about two weeks end to end.

// Candidate FAQ

Questions Candidates Ask Us

Do I need a visa or to relocate to work at Gleyon?
No. We're remote-first and hire across time zones — you work from wherever you're legally able to work. There's no relocation requirement, and the annual retreat is the only travel we ask of you (fully paid).
How should I prepare for the interviews?
Be ready to talk about real work you've shipped — decisions you made, trade-offs you accepted, and what you'd do differently. There are no trick puzzles or memorized-algorithm rounds; the paid practical exercise mirrors the actual day-to-day of the role.
What do growth and career paths look like here?
Two tracks with equal pay bands: deep individual-contributor work (senior → staff → principal) or people leadership. Every engineer gets a learning budget, quarterly growth conversations, and ownership that expands with your appetite — you don't have to become a manager to keep progressing.
